Tomato Festival Parade
The parade will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 10:30 a.m.
Fox 56 and the Pittston Tomato Festival Committee cordially invite you to participate in the 32nd ANNUAL PITTSTON TOMATO FESTIVAL PARADE to be held in downtown Pittston on Saturday, August 22nd. At 10:30 AM. All area civic, social and school organizations, as well as public officials are encouraged to participate.
We are asking not only your participation but participation with a flare. Do something special for us this year. Decorate your vehicle or create a tomato themed float. Make a Banner to let the TV viewers know who you are. Tell us about you and or your organization so we can give special recognition to you or your group during the TV broadcast.
The parade goes live on the air at 10:30AM. There will be a 5K run starting first so the streets will be blocked off at 9:30AM. Participants in the parade need to be lined up by 9:30AM. The parade route is approximately two miles long and will begin on the Main Street of South Pittston and proceed through the Downtown and around to Kennedy Boulevard ending on East Street, adjacent to Coopers Co-op Building.
It is time to start preparing, Time goes by quickly so make your plans now. Please fill out the enclosed entry form and get it back to us by August 7th, so we can set up the divisions etc.
